University of Science and Education - The University of Danang (UD-UED) has officially concluded its 2024-2025 international student exchange program with Guizhou Minzu University, China. A closing ceremony was held on June 9, marking the completion of the academic year for 27 visiting Chinese students.

The exchange initiative, now in its second year, is part of a broader cooperation agreement between the two universities. According to Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Hieu - Vice Rector of UD-UED, the program aims to foster academic collaboration and cultural understanding between Vietnam and China.
During their year in Danang, all participating students from Guizhou Minzu University completed 11 modules, earning 22 credits in subjects such as Vietnamese language, history, culture, and geography. Beyond academics, the students engaged in a range of cultural and extracurricular activities, including visits to local heritage sites in Central Vietnam (such as Ngu Hanh Son in Danang, Thanh Ha pottery village, and Kim Bong carpentry village in Quang Nam) and participation in traditional festivals such as Tet (Lunar New Year), Bunpimay, and Doan Ngo.

UD-UED officials expressed hope that the experience would serve as both a valuable academic foundation and a memorable personal journey for the students. “We are always ready to welcome you back for further study or future collaboration,” Vice Rector of UD-UED Nguyen Van Hieu said at the ceremony.
In recognition of outstanding achievement, the university awarded four scholarships, each valued at VND 9 million, to top-performing students.

The exchange cohort also took part in various student activities, such as a dormitory volleyball tournament and providing free Chinese language classes to local students. Notably, two Chinese students participated in the 2025 Vietnamese Speech Contest for Foreign Students in Central Vietnam, hosted by the UD-UED.
Speaking on behalf of the group, student Giai Le expressed gratitude for the support and guidance received from the university’s faculty and leadership, emphasizing the program’s role in strengthening educational and cultural ties between Vietnam and China.
