Member universities of the University of Danang (UD): University of Science and Technology (DUT),University of Technology and Education (UTE) recently coordinated with the Maebashi Institute of Technology, Japan to organize an international workshop on landscape design of the main axis, creating a highlight on the university campus.

Attending the workshop were Prof. Ishikawa, Prof. Karashima and scientists, lecturers, students/trainees from the faculties of architecture and construction of the two universities and Maebashi Institute.

According to Prof. Ishikawa, this is a meaningful academic exchange activity within the framework of cooperation between the parties that has been continuously organized since 2015 through the 9th season.

This year's workshop focuses on an urgent topic when master planning projects (scale 1/500) may still have problems such as traffic conflicts, lack of campus highlights, especially for the main axis landscape.

At the workshop, young lecturers, students/student groups are inspired by prestigious scientists and experts, thereby jointly developing and perfecting ideas and design options that express the aspiration to create a green, modern and sustainable university space.

The workshop results not only provide opportunities to strengthen the connection in scientific research between university and institutes but also serve as a valuable source of practical reference materials for UD-DUT, UD-UTE to research and apply appropriately in the planning and spatial development orientation of schools in the new period.
