Within the framework of the visit and working session with the University of Danang (UD) of the Wallonie - Bruxelles Delegation in Vietnam, at University of Economics - UD, the Scientific Seminar "Application of AI in logistics management" took place with the accompaniment and coordination of the Department of Vocational Training and Employment of Wallonie - Bruxelles (Belgium).

According to Mr. Pierre Du Ville - Head of the Wallonie - Bruxelles Delegation in Vietnam, this is an academic forum of practical significance, through which to share experience, knowledge and technology application in logistics and transport development within the framework of cooperation in implementing the Project on enhancing regional research and development through sustainable logistics and transport.

According to Associate Professor, Dr. Doan Ngoc Phi Anh - Vice Rector of University of Economics - UD, the content of the Seminar is meaningful in strengthening and expanding the international cooperation network in training and research, especially for the logistics sectors that the University is implementing, meeting the development needs of Da Nang city in particular, the Central region and the whole country in general in the context of expanding economic space.

At the Seminar, delegates discussed and shared their views and solutions in applying AI to warehouse and logistics management, especially the experience of the Wallonia region with the “green logistics” strategy. 

This is a trend to improve efficiency by reducing operating costs and increasing connectivity and transparency in the value of the supply chain.

Developing logistics in the new context requires high-quality, highly skilled human resources, so the goal of cooperation between universities and local authorities, as experienced by the Walloon region, will contribute to enhancing capacity and resources for sustainable, smart solutions, said a representative of the Walloon-Brussels Department of Vocational Training and Employment.

Previously, the Wallonie-Bruxelles Delegation in Vietnam also worked with leaders of the University of Economics - UD, University of Foreign Language Studies​​- UD, to discuss the needs and directions of cooperation in the field of university education, language and culture development associated with local tourism.
