FPT Japan Holdings has announced that two students from Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU) - The University of Danang, have been awarded the prestigious Go Japan 2025 scholarships. Truong Gia Huy (Class 22JIT) and Tran Thi Thu Dung (Class 21JIT), both from the Faculty of Computer Science, have received the highest-tier Type A full scholarships, valued at $2,850 each. The scholarship package covers training fees, living expenses, and airfare for a one-month practical experience program in Tokyo from July 30 to August 29, 2025.

According to the partner representative, these are two of the five scholarships awarded to students from universities in Central Vietnam. The program aims to provide opportunities and encourage students to develop their professional skills, Japanese language proficiency, mindset, attitude, and readiness to work in Japanese corporate environments, especially in fields with a high demand for skilled labor such as Information Technology.

VKU representatives highlighted that both recipients are enrolled in the bilingual Japanese-Vietnamese Software Engineering program. This program is a model collaboration between VKU and partners like Nix Education, designed to ensure students excel academically, achieve language proficiency, and gain a deep understanding of Japanese culture. Japan remains a key market with numerous enterprises investing in Vietnam and a growing demand for technology engineers domestically and abroad.

Previously, student Tran Thi Thu Dung was awarded an 80 million VND scholarship by NecScat (Japan) and participated in a study tour in Japan in 2024.

Student Truong Gia Huy shared that, thanks to the bilingual IT Engineer/Bachelor program and the dedicated support from lecturers and partner enterprises, he felt more confident in pursuing and achieving the Go Japan Scholarship. “This opportunity will further motivate us to embrace modern corporate environments and actively prepare for integration into challenging regional and international labor markets."
