On June 24th, 2025, University of Economics - The University of Danang (UD-DUE) welcomed students and faculty from Busan University of Foreign Studies (BUFS), South Korea, for an international academic and cultural exchange program aimed at enhancing cross-cultural understanding and academic collaboration.

The event, held at the UD-DUE campus, featured a series of activities designed to promote academic engagement. It also aimed at fostering cultural integration. According to Associate Professor Dr. Doan Ngoc Phi Anh, Vice Rector of UD-DUE, the university is dedicated to fostering a vibrant academic environment by facilitating international exchanges and inviting global experts to share knowledge with both faculty and students.

The exchange program included Vietnamese language courses, business site visits, specialized lectures, and cultural excursions. Participants explored local heritage sites such as Hoi An and My Son, and also engaged in traditional Vietnamese activities including the making of tò he (toy figurines), basket boat rowing, and sampling regional cuisine.

Professor Bae Yang-Soo, representing BUFS, expressed appreciation for UD-DUE’s academic reputation and the hospitality of its staff and students. He highlighted the significance of the program in deepening mutual understanding and fostering long-term partnerships between the two institutions.

Organizers noted that the four-week exchange not only introduced BUFS students to the culture and history of Vietnam but also provided valuable opportunities for UD-DUE students to engage with international peers, strengthening the university’s global outlook.

Participants from BUFS reported positive impressions of Da Nang’s dynamic atmosphere and the enriching experiences gained throughout the program. This exchange is expected to lay the groundwork for future collaborative initiatives in education and cultural exchange between Vietnam and South Korea.
