10/09/2025
On 9 September 2025, The University of Danang - University of Science and Education (UD-UED) has launched a two-semester Vietnamese language and culture program for 32 students from China, the United States and the Czech Republic, aiming to build advanced language skills and promote cross-cultural exchange.

Associate Professor Nguyen Van Hieu, Vice-Rector, said the university expects the cohort to achieve strong academic outcomes while serving as informal ambassadors who strengthen educational and people-to-people ties.

Running from September 2025 to June 2026, the 22-credit curriculum includes Advanced Vietnamese, Vietnamese Grammar, Vietnamese for Economics, Cultural History, Tourism Studies, Traditional Culture Practice, and applied explorations in fields such as literature and film. Graduates will receive a certificate of completion and an official transcript.

Beyond classroom study, participants will engage in campus and community activities, including an opening arts showcase, a ceremony marking the 50th anniversary of UED’s development, city excursions in Da Nang, events celebrating Vietnamese Teachers’ Day, and a Vietnamese speech contest for foreign learners.

A merit-based scholarship pool worth more than VND 45 million (approximately USD 1,800) is available for high achievers. Each student will be paired with a Vietnamese “buddy” through the UED International Student Support Club to facilitate academic and cultural integration.
