Proposing numerous solutions for Da Nang to make breakthroughs in the field of science and technology

22/05/2025

On the afternoon of May 20, at a scientific seminar themed "Tasks and Solutions for Developing High-Quality Human Resources to Meet the City’s Development Requirements in the New Era,” organized by the Da Nang City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee , experts and scientists proposed various solutions for developing high-quality human resources; solutions regarding scientific research, technology development, innovation, digital transformation, infrastructure, and international cooperation to advance Da Nang.

According to Associate. Professor. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu, President of the University of Danang (UD), the Resolution No. 57/NQ-TW of the Politburo on breakthrough developments in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation is the golden key to propel the country forward in the new era.

Among these, the quality of human resources holds crucial significance and is a decisive factor in the success or failure of the country's development efforts in general and Da Nang in particular. Therefore, the demand for high-quality human resources for the city has become more urgent than ever.

Associate. Professor. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu proposed that the city should further leverage the advantages and potential of being a "university city" by developing a systematic strategy for training high-quality human resources in the fields that the city needs to invest in.

The city needs to facilitate administrative procedures and provide financial support for universities to invite international experts and scientists to teach specialized courses in fields where the city demands , such as semiconductor chips, artificial intelligence (AI), and Fintech.

The city needs to leverage its advantages and potential to attract investment, especially from strategic investors and key projects; create outstanding policies to provide a favorable working environment and numerous job opportunities thereby attracting intellectuals, experts, and students from across the country, as well as international students to come and stay in Da Nang to "build their careers and start businesses".

In the city's image promotion programs or at domestic and international forums, conferences, and seminars, the city's leadership needs to pay attention to directing the content that promotes the image and position of UD. This will create favorable conditions for UD and other universities in the area to strongly attract  international students  to study, research, and internships in Da Nang, as proposed by President of UD.

The team of experts, intellectuals, and scientists in the city is becoming increasingly numerous, playing a pivotal role in key sectors such as information technology, healthcare, education, smart cities, digital transformation, high-tech agriculture, and recently, artificial intelligence, microchips, semiconductors, and biotechnology.
