University of Technology and Education – The University of Danang successfully organized the 6th Scientific Workshop on Applying new technology in green building (ATiGB)

The workshop was held by University of Technology and Education (UTE) – The University of Danang (UD) on March 13.

This is an annual outstanding, national-level scientific event of UTE-UD to promote scientific research and advanced technology application in many fields (architecture, planning, transport, construction, energy, automatic control, electronics and telecommunications, information technology, new materials, biotechnology and environment, etc.), which contributes to solving urgent practical problems towards sustainable development.

Overview of the workshop.

Attending the workshop were Dr. Vu Thi Bich Hau – Deputy Director of the Danang Department of Science and Technology, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thanh Bac – Vice President of the UD; leader representatives of science - technology units, universities, research institutes and enterprises; UTE-UD’s Board of Rectors, University Council and representatives from its functional offices, faculties, divisions.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Cao Tho, Rector of UTE-UD, greeted and thanked the delegates for attending and presenting their research at the workshop. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Cao Tho emphasized that the research and application of new-green-clean, environment-friendly, energy-saving technology for sustainable development is a topical issue which receives the attention from scientists including ones from UTE-UD.

This is an opportunity for scientists, experts, lecturers from a number of universities, organizations and enterprises in many fields of science and technology to share new ideas, problems and results in technology application and transfer with the aim to contribute positively to the sustainable development, at the same time improve the quality and effectiveness of training and scientific research of UTE-UD.

Also at the workshop, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thanh Bac – Vice President of the UD, acknowledged and highly appreciated UTE-UD for its efforts to organize the workshop with topical and scientifically significant issues, especially in the context of Covid-19 pandemic.

The UD’s Vice President Le Thanh Bac expressed his belief that, with a long tradition of a well-known vocational training institution, the hosting of the 6th ATiGB would continue to consolidate the prestige and brand of UTE-UD as well as connect scientists, thereby contributing wisdom to the development of the region and the country.

This workshop brought together many domestic and international scientists, lecturers and experts, with nearly 100 scientific papers and articles through which the scientific committee carefully reviewed, selected 46 scientific reports to be presented in 4 sub-committees.

This year, the ATiGB selected 30 articles for publication in prestigious international scientific journals as well as in the ISBN-indexed workshop’s proceedings. Many reports by foreign scientists were presented virtually.
