University of Economics – The University of Danang successfully organized the International Conference on Accounting and Finance (ICOAF) 2021

University of Economics (DUE) – The University of Danang (UD) has successfully organized the 6th International Conference on Accounting and Finance (ICOAF) 2021 themed “Accounting, Finance, and Vietnam’s economic transformation”. This year’s conference was held virtually to adapt to the context of the Covid-19 pandemic prevention and control.

Overview of the meeting.

This conference was co-organized by prestigious international partners, namely Institute of Global Finance (IGF) – University of New South Wales (Australia) and Aston University (UK), with the participation of well-known foreign professors: Prof. Jonathan Batten – a leading financial expert at RMIT University (Australia), Prof. Cameron Truong – a leading accounting expert at Monash University (Australia), etc.

At the opening session, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Thi Thuy Anh – Vice Rector of DUE – UD emphasized that the 6th ICOAF-2021 aimed to continue to connect and gather wisdom from domestic and international scientists, experts in the fields of accounting – finance, thereby discussing and providing effective solutions to scientific and practical issues.

Right after the opening session, Prof. Jonathan Batten (RMIT University) presented his scientific topic: “The challenge of meeting sustainable development goals (SDGs) while fostering green finance” which drew the attention and discussion of the delegates.

During the conference, presentation sessions and discussions took place with many topics that are significant to not only Vietnam but also many other countries.

The success of the 6th ICOAF-2021 demonstrated the prestige and stature of an annual scientific event since 2015, at the same time re-affirmed the important role of DUE – UD as a destination of national and international events, conferences.
