UD-VKU signs MOA with EvvoLabs to launch study-and-work program
12/12/2025
The University of Danang - Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (UD-VKU) has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Singapore-based technology firm EvvoLabs to launch a new study-and-work program for students. The agreement was formalized on December 10, 2025, at VKU’s campus in Da Nang during a working session between the university and EvvoLabs.

VKU Vice Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran The Son said the MOA marks a new milestone in the university’s strategy to deepen cooperation with industry, particularly in specialized fields where VKU is focusing its training and research. This partnership allows businesses to participate directly in the university’s training process, helping align academic programs with real-world technological needs.
VKU has been developing advanced training models designed to give students early exposure to industry practice, modern technologies, and expert mentorship. The university aims to equip students with professional skills, innovative thinking, and practical experience both in the classroom and in corporate environments.

EvvoLabs CEO Vince Chew said the company is seeking to partner with dynamic universities capable of nurturing young, tech-savvy talent who can quickly join real-world projects. Mr. Chew noted that the MOA not only brings mutual benefits but also reflects the company’s decision to work with a trusted partner for long-term, sustainable development.
Under the agreement, VKU and EvvoLabs will jointly establish and operate a Center of Excellence on campus. The center will serve as a dedicated space for learning, research, and technology-intensive project work, equipped with facilities funded by EvvoLabs and integrated into VKU’s academic infrastructure.
Lecturers and experts from both VKU and EvvoLabs will co-supervise students through workshops, seminars, capstone projects, and joint research activities. A core component will be a six-month, apprenticeship-style study-and-work program under which students will participate directly in EvvoLabs’ projects with a view to future recruitment.

According to EvvoLabs and VKU, the initiative—built around the slogan “Learning in projects, growing through real-world practice”—is designed to respond to the rapid development of Industry 4.0 and the growing demand for highly adaptable technology engineers.
The program is expected to contribute to the development of Da Nang’s technology ecosystem and to the broader talent pipeline of central Vietnam and the country as a whole.
