On April 22, 2026, The University of Danang - University of Foreign Language Studies (UD-UFLS) hosted the Japan Job Fair 2026, bringing together Japanese companies, faculty members, and students to strengthen recruitment links and support career development in an increasingly globalized labor market.

The event provided a platform for direct engagement between employers and students, while offering participants insights into career opportunities at Japanese businesses operating in Vietnam and across the region.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Long, Rector of UD-UFL, said the fair was more than a recruitment and career counseling event. It also served as a strategic bridge connecting students, particularly Japanese language majors, with international working environments and helping them better understand employers’ expectations regarding skills, knowledge, and professional attitude.

The university said the job fair reflects its broader effort to align academic training more closely with labor market needs and to work with businesses in developing high-quality human resources.

Speakers and industry experts at the event shared updates on hiring trends and workforce demand, especially as more Japanese companies and Asia-Pacific businesses continue shifting investment to Vietnam.

They said this trend presents both opportunities and challenges for higher education institutions in preparing graduates to meet the high standards of Japanese employers.
