Following the national strategy to transform English into a second language in schools under Resolution 71 and Decision 2371, University of Foreign Language Studies-The University of Da Nang (UFLS-UD) has been forging strong partnerships with local governments and businesses. These collaborative efforts aim to ensure a rigorous, hands-on, and impactful implementation of the policy.

On January 28, 2026, leaders from UD-UFLS  held a working session with authorities of Son Tra Ward, Da Nang. The two parties identified significant potential for cooperation in education and the enhancement of foreign language proficiency for local teachers, officials, and students. Son Tra is also recognized as a locality with great potential for tourism and cultural development, attracting a large number of international visitors.

According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Long, Rector of the University, collaborating with local authorities, businesses, and international partners is a strategic orientation that aligns with the mission, needs, and strengths of UD-UFLS, and this partnership should be prioritized and fostered with Son Tra Ward.

Highly valuing the expertise and 40-year training heritage of UD-UFLS in international languages and cultures, local leaders expressed their desire to promote specific collaborative activities. These initiatives aim not only to improve the quality of foreign language teaching and learning and public service performance but also to foster an integrated community for sustainable development.

On January 30, 2026, representatives from UD-UFLS and the Sky-Line Education System signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on training high-quality foreign language human resources.

According to the agreement, the two sides will co-host intensive seminars on English education, offer internships, and create job opportunities for graduates. The partnership also focuses on designing language courses that meet the real-world demands of educational institutions and enterprises.

Earlier, UD-UFLS had also coordinated with Oxford University Press (OUP) and PTE APAC Education to successfully organize the 'Student Talks with Oxford University Press' event.

According to Dr. Huynh Ngoc Mai Kha, Vice Rector of UD-UFLS, emphasized that this academic platform allows students to gain expert insights and perfect their language acquisition strategies for success in both the classroom and the real world.
