On December 16, 2025,  The University of Danang  -  University of Science and Technology (UD-DUT), hosted a working session and signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (RMUTL), Thailand.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hong Hai, Vice Rector of UD-DUT emphasized that with its long-standing tradition, potential, and leading position in training and research in engineering and technology fields, the university always values and strives to expand cooperation with prestigious universities both domestically and internationally.

The university's leadership expressed their desire and confidence that through the signing of the MOU, both sides would leverage their potentials and strengths to enhance the quality of training and scientific research, promoting integration and international cooperation in higher education within the ASEAN region.

According to Assoc. Prof. Nopporn Patcharaprakiti, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at RMUTL, this event marks a new milestone, opening doors for cooperation to maximize faculty expertise and the development potential of various academic and research fields. 

Highly valuing the reputation and academic brand of DUT, the Thai partner expressed expectations for both sides to actively implement the signed agreements, key priorities include: Enhancing exchange programs for faculty and students; Creating internship opportunities and academic experiences for students to develop professional skills.

Both sides will collaborate to develop joint undergraduate and postgraduate training programs; conduct joint research through international cooperation projects; share information, materials, and publications; and promote academic and cultural exchange.
