On July 5, 2025, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary (1975 - 2025), The University of Danang - University of Science and Technology (UD-DUT) inaugurated the National Key Laboratory for Mechatronics and Applications.

National Key Laboratory for Mechatronics and Applications was invested over VND 40 billion, initiated the construction of a laboratory complex for semiconductor chip research and training (over VND 80 billion), and launched several other key projects, including new student dormitories and modern administrative facilities. 

These developments are expected to significantly enhance the university’s infrastructure and research capacity. The system includes specialized laboratories: Robotics, IoT, Material Science - Molds - Simulation Design, and open space connecting students - lecturers - businesses.

Scheduled to be operational from the 2025–2026 academic year, it will be a launching pad for the next generation of engineers, promoting academic collaboration, technological innovation and innovative startups.
