On August 13, 2026, a cooperation agreement signing ceremony took place at the University of Danang - University of Science and Technology (UD - DUT), between the university's leadership and Marvell Vietnam Technology Company. The partnership focuses on promoting the development of a semiconductor ecosystem to support human resource training and research and development (R&D).

According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Hieu, Rector of UD – DUT, with its traditional core role in training high-quality human resources especially in response to the demands of developing strategic technology fields, the university has been assigned to implement 07 STEM talented engineer training programs, including semiconductor integrated circuits (ICs), a field of strength for Marvell to collaborate on.

The university leadership stated that UD - DUT currently trains and supplies about 90% of the semiconductor engineering workforce for high-tech enterprises in Da Nang city and the Central region.

This is also an opportunity for the school to restructure its faculties and departments, promote cooperation with corporations and enterprises, and invest in creating innovative spaces, including key specialized laboratories to enhance the quality of education and scientific research.

According to Dr. Le Quang Dam, General Director of Marvell Vietnam, the company highly appreciates the role and reputation of UD - DUT in education and research, while sharing a vision toward a semiconductor IC design community capable of domestic and international competitive integration.

The leadership representative of Marvell Vietnam expressed the desire and commitment to implement a long-term, close-knit cooperation orientation with expected goals of accompanying development for the next 10 to 20 years.

Under the signed MoU, the two parties will focus on implementing cooperation contents across three main pillars:

1. In-depth training cooperation with the accompaniment of Marvell experts participating in instructing/teaching several specialized topics/modules at the Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications; coordinating the implementation of undergraduate and postgraduate specialized training programs in the field of High-Speed IC Design for AI Data Infrastructure.

2. Cooperation in supporting/guiding students with internships, graduation projects, and career development at Marvell under the co-supervision of lecturers and engineers from the enterprise.

The partner will provide scholarship opportunities, employment, and career counseling to help students build a solid career development path in the semiconductor industry.

3. Research and Development (R&D) cooperation: UD - DUT and Marvell Vietnam will propose and collaborate on researching high-applicability projects, products, and technological solutions; supporting the co-supervision of graduate students, PhD candidates, and research groups to produce technological outcomes, values, and products labeled as "Made with Marvell" / "Made in Vietnam."

The primary goal is to connect the lecture hall with practical applications, helping students grasp theoretical foundations, advanced technologies, and adapt to the promising development requirements of Vietnam's semiconductor industry regionally and internationally.
