The VN-UK Insitute for Research and Executive Education, the University of Danang signed a cooperation agreement with the ACCA Association to organize the UK Education and Technology Program

On the morning of December 3, the VN-UK Institute for Research and Executive Education (VNUK), the University of Danang (UD) signed a cooperation agreement with the British Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

Attending the signing ceremony were Mr. Marcus Winsley-Deputy Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Vietnam, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Quang Son-Vice President of UD, Ms. Nguyen Thuy Minh Chau-Director of ACCA Region, Ms. Khuat Thi Lien Huong-Interim Chief of ACCA Vietnam, Dr. Nguyen Thi My Huong-Director of VNUK and representatives of UD's functional departments (International Cooperation Department; Science, Technology and Environment Department).

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Marcus Winsley - Deputy Ambassador of the UK to Vietnam expressed his belief that the cooperation between ACCA and VNUK-UD would bring many opportunities for students to approach resources of ACCA, develop skills in accounting and auditing, enable auditors and accountants in the Central region to participate in ACCA's international training courses.

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Quang Son, UD's Vice President, expressed his joy and would like to thank the Deputy Ambassador and ACCA for his interest and cooperation with VNUK-UD.

Vice President Le Quang Son affirmed that UD always attaches great importance to and fosters a good traditional cooperation relationship with UK partners, and at the same time wishes the British Embassy and ACCA to continue to support and connect UD and its members such as VNUK to develop sustainable and effective relationships with UK partners, organizations and businesses.

According to Dr. Nguyen Thi My Huong-Director of VNUK, the cooperation agreement included key contents such as: (1) Cooperating in developing training programs for VNUK staff and students; (2) International training association to issue the certification of ACCA right at UD; (3) Promoting the network of partners, professional organizations in the field of accounting and auditing in order to develop the cooperation between the two sides, etc.

Previously, VNUK Institute also organized the "UK Education and Technology Journey" program under the sponsorship of the British Embassy.

The success of the program has given students the opportunity to access useful information, to gain more knowledge of UK education and advanced technology, to have the opportunities to receive the Chevening Government scholarships and to be informed about recruitment and employment needs in UK technology businesses.

Attending the program, Mr. Marcus Winsley, UK Deputy Ambassador to Vietnam shared: “I believe that with my efforts and vision, VNUK will become a positive “bridge”, contributing to promoting the relationship and the cooperation in education and science between the UK and Vietnam”.
