The University of Danang - University of Science and Technology cooperated to establish a joint research group with The University of Technology of Troyes, France

On February 22, 2024, at The University of Danang – University of Science and Technology (UD-DUT), there was the Signing Ceremony of a Cooperation Agreement taken place to establish a Joint International Project Research Team (JIRT) between UD-DUT and The University of Technology of Troyes (UTT), France.

Attending the working session and signing ceremony were professors of UTT: Prof. Farouk Yalaoui-Vice Rector (in charge of Science) and Director of Research; Prof. Lionel Amodeo - Director of Lab LIST3N; Prof. Yassine Quazene and Prof. Nguyen Nhan Quy are research and innovation experts; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Dinh Lam - Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of UD-DUT University Council; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Tien Dung - Vice Rector of UD-DUT and representatives of leaders of relevant departments, faculties, and lecturers participated in the joint research group.

According to Prof. Farouk Yalaoui - Vice Rector of UTT, this was a new mark after nearly 4 years of cooperation between the two sides, thereby hoping and trusting that UTT and UD-DUT would promote joint research, develop content and projects research, share resources, exchange staff, lecturers and students to implement the agreements agreed upon by the leaders of the two universities.

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Dinh Lam - Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the University Council shared his joy when two prestigious and potential universities connected and promoted the strengths of their teams and facilities to promote cooperation joint research. The UD-DUT University Council would closely follow and direct units and support the effective implementation of the signed agreement, bringing common benefits, towards sustainable development.

According to Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Tien Dung - Vice Rector of UD-DUT, the establishment of a joint research group was a key activity in the content of cooperation, stemming from needs and in accordance with trends in the context of integration and globalization, requiring multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary/transdisciplinary knowledge connection.

The goal of cooperation between UD-DUT and UTT is to promote progress in research fields, enhance academic exchange and innovation to consolidate and build a foundation for cooperation in training, research and international projects; enhance sharing of resources and new technological knowledge; jointly solve challenges in researching global issues.

Cooperation between leading universities promotes potential and strengths, bringing many values in the trend of integration and internationalization of higher education

 

According to the signed cooperation content, the two sides will focus on collaborating in research on management-economic and high-tech models; planning, maintenance, supply chain optimization and “smart” data development.

UD-DUT and UTT have established a relationship since 2020 through Prof. Farouk Yalaoui and Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Dinh Lam, up to now, there have been outstanding activities such as: Co-organized "France-Vietnam Conference on new challenges of future technology" (FV-Tech 2022); participated in the IEEE International Conference on Electronics and Communications (IEEE ICCE 2023, 2024); UTT received PhD training for UD-DUT lecturers; cooperation in the Sustainable Development Network (2023)…
