The University of Danang – University of Economics organized the «Sustainable Trade Economy» session under the framework of the International Conference «Sustainable University Development: Opportunities and Challenges”

 

On the afternoon of November 7, 2024, the "Sustainable Trade Economy" session took place at the University of Danang – University of Economics (UD-DUE) under the framework of the International Conference «Sustainable University Development: Opportunities and Challenges”.

 

Overview of the workshop session at UD-DUE

This was an academic event hosted by UD-DUE, responding to UD's International Conference in a series of events celebrating 30th anniversary of UD’s establishment and development (1994 - 2024) gathering domestic and international delegates from universities, organizations, and associations.

According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Thi Thuy Anh – Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairwoman of UD-DUE’s Council, this was an opportunity and forum to connect and expand the network of domestic and international scientists and experts, guiding to a sustainable future in the process of integration and internationalization of higher education.

At the Conference, delegates listened to the reports: "Smart Cities and Law" sharing about smart city regulations and natural law from the international experience of Prof. Gustavo Cerqueira (Cote d'Azur University, France); “Protecting intellectual property rights in smart cities” by Dr. Pham Minh Thy Van (UD-DUE) with his perspective on the role of law in protecting innovation in the context of urban technology.

The discussion session focused on topics with key contents including Information technology and civil rights; Valuation of cultural heritage and economic assets, including presentations such as "Legal framework and challenges of e-commerce in Vietnam", "Protection of personal data under the Vietnamese Data Protection Decree in education", "Artificial intelligence serving legal history: Towards of exploiting new sources".

 

 

Discussion session

The opinions and interactions in the discussion session had similarities with a common goal among scientists. Global sustainable development with the pioneering role of leadership and innovation of universities needs to be strongly promoted in the digital era.
