On the morning of April 20, Center for Educational Quality Accreditation (CEA) - Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) announced the Decision and awarded the National Educational Quality Standard Accreditation Certificate to 02 member universities of the University of Danang (UD) including: UD-University of Economics (UD-UE) and UD-University of Science and Education (UD-UED)

Prof. Dr. Dinh Van Toan-Chairman of Council for Educational Quality Accreditation (CEA-VNU); Dr. Phan Minh Duc-Chairman of UD’s Council; Assoc.Prof. Dr. Nguyen Manh Toan - Rector of UD-UE; Assoc.Prof. Dr. Luu Trang - Rector of UD-UED; Assoc.Prof. Dr. Dinh Thanh Viet- Director of UD-Department of Educational Quality Assurance and representatives of Rectorate board, the University Council, offices and faculties of two member universities.

Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Dinh Van Toan-Chairman of CEA-VNU congratulated UD-UE, UD-UED for being recognized to meet the National Educational Quality Standard 2nd Cycle.

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Dinh Van Toan highly acknowledged and appreciated the efforts of the leaders, officials, lecturers and students of the two universities in the work of educational quality assurance and accreditation, promoting strengths, overcoming limitations as recommended by external evaluators and CEA.

On this occasion, the senior representative of CEA-VNU gave special thanks to the leaders of UD as well as the 02 universities for creating favorable conditions for the External Evaluation Team to successfully complete the recent accreditation session. He also expressed his desires and beliefs that the work of quality assurance in particular and the cultural quality in general would continue to be paid attention to, spread and deeply ingrained in each unit, staff, lecturers and students for affirming the prestige and academic reputation in the national education system of UD’s member universities.

Secretary of the Communist Party Committee, President of the University of Danang Nguyen Ngoc Vu and Chairman of CEA-VNU Dinh Van Toan presented flowers, congratulated and awarded the National Educational Quality Standard Accreditation Certificate 2nd Cycle to the Rectors of UD-UE & UD-UED, according to which both universities were evaluated with high results, meeting the standards and quality criteria of national higher education institutions, 2nd cycle (according to Circular No. 12/2017/TT-BGDĐT dated May 19, 2017 of the Minister of Education and Training) by CEA-VNU.

UD-UE and UD-UED are two pioneers of the four UD’s member universities joining in the accreditation progress and meeting the national educational quality standards in the 1st cycle (UD-UED was recognized in April, 2016, UD-UE was recognized in October, 2016), contributing to develop UD into the first Vietnamese regional university having 100% of its member universities meeting the national educational quality standards (in 2016). ).Up to now, 02 universities continues to be accredited and meet the standards of the 2nd cycle.
