The University of Danang strengthens cooperation with O.P. Jindal Global University, India

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Quang Son – Vice President of the University of Danang (UD) and Prof of Eminence. Dr. Sanjeev P. Sahni - Advisor to the Vice Chancellor & Senior Member of the Governing Body of O.P. Jindal Global University, India (JGU) co-chaired the meeting and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between UD and JGU.

Also in attendance were Prof. Padmanabha Ramanujam - Dean of Academic Governance; Mr. Arun Kumar Jain – Chief Financial Officer; Dr. Rahul Bhandari – Joint Director, International Office; representatives of UD’s leaders of the Office of Administrative Affairs, relevant departments (International Cooperation, Student Affairs) and UD - VNUK Institute for Research and Executive Education (UD-VNUK).

At the meeting, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Quang Son – Vice President of UD welcomed the delegation of JGU to visit, work and sign the MOU with UD. Vice President of UD Le Quang Son introduced a number of highlights and overviews of UD to JGU delegation, and affirmed that the significance of the two sides' connection will be a premise to promote the potential of capabilities, strengths, towards common interests, for the sake of sustainable development.

Talking with the leaders of UD, Prof of Eminence.Dr. Sanjeev P. Sahni – Advisor, Senior Member of the Governing Body of JGU said that JGU attaches great importance to promoting internationalization of higher education, thereby wishing to establish cooperative relationships with prestigious universities in the world, including the ASEAN region where UD is a leading center of training and scientific research in Vietnam.

The two sides expressed their hope that the signing of the MOU will open up opportunities for cooperation in training and research, promote the exchange of lecturers/ students, and contribute positively to the strategic partnership of Vietnam - India, especially in the field of education and training.

According to the content of the signed MOU, in the coming time, the two sides will strengthen cooperation in training high-quality human resources; promoting the exchange of staff, lecturers and students, focusing on exchanging experts, researchers and academic cooperation, organizing exchange programs, receiving internships; co-doing  undergraduate/ postgraduate research; co-searching and implementing  international projects and co-organizing events, scientific conferences, etc.
