The University of Danang signed the cooperation agreement with the Artevelde University of Applied Sciences (Belgium)

The signing ceremony was held virtually on March 19, 2021.

The ceremony drew the participation of Mr. Tomas Legrand – President of the Artevelde University of Applied Sciences (AUAS), Mr. Imran Uddin – Director of Education and Student Policy, Mrs. Sofie Vastmans – Head of the International Office, Mr. Pieterjan Bonne - Strategic Alliance Officer Vietnam –, Mr. Jarno Van Puyenbroeck – Communication Intern International Office .

On the UD’s side, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Son – Vice President, leader representatives from functional departments of administrative affairs, international cooperation, research – technology and environment, and VNUK Institute for Research and Executive Education.

Speaking at the event, the UD’s Vice President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Son sent his best wishes and highly appreciated the significance of the MOU signing ceremony, which opened a new period of cooperation for mutually beneficial development.

Thanks to the experience of international cooperation with many prestigious universities in Europe to facilitate potentials and strengths, the UD’s leader believed that the agreement between the UD and the AUAS would bring about many opportunities, contributing to promoting the Eurasian’s education cooperation.

At the ceremony, President of the AUAS Tomas Legrand expressed his joy, considering this event a milestone in the AUAS’s strategy in developing international cooperation with Asian universities in general, Vietnamese ones in particular.

Mr. Tomas Legrand highly appreciated the role and prestige of the UD as a Vietnam’s leading university which has been an active member of many cooperation networks involving many universities in the European Union.

According to the signed agreement, in the coming time, the two sides will promote cooperation in following directions: joint international training programs, exchange of lecturers and students, joint research projects, etc. The UD and the AUAS will also create favorable conditions to strengthen the connection among two sides’ member universities and affiliated units.
