The University of Danang signed cooperation agreement with the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam, Hai Van Branch for the period 2021 – 2025

On January 22, the University of Danang (UD) held a signing ceremony for the 2021 – 2025 Cooperation Agreement with the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV), Hai Van Branch.

The ceremony drew the participation of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu – President of the UD, Mr. Tran Thanh Van – Member of Board of Directors of the BIDV, Mr. Nguyen Huu Hoa – Manager of the BIDV’s Hai Van Branch.
There were also Mr. Tran Trong Nghia – Deputy Director of the State Bank’s Da Nang Branch, Mr. Pham Van Hoa – Deputy Secretary of Party Committee of the Da Nang High-tech Park and Industrial Zones, the UD’s Vice Presidents Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Van Duong and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Son, leader representatives from the UD’s member universities, affiliated units; the BIDV’s departments.
Speaking at the ceremony, the UD’s President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu highly appreciated and thanked the BIDV for trusting, choosing the UD as a cooperation partner to support students, which contributed to the mission of training high quality human resources that was deployed by the UD and its member universities over the past 25 years and 45 years respectively.

The UD’s President stressed that most of the funding from the bilateral cooperation is spent for awarding scholarships, supporting students with difficult circumstances as well as outstanding students, stimulating their motivation to become useful citizens.
Mr. Tran Thanh Van – Member of Board Directors of the BIDV, expressed the honor to continue and improve the cooperation with the UD which is one of the leading training and scientific research centers in Vietnam.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Hoa – Manager of the BIDV’s Hai Van Branch, also delivered a speech in which he affirmed the commitment to effectively implement cooperation contents in order to promote the strengths of each side towards long-term and sustainable development.

Under the recent cooperation agreement between the UD and the BIDV Hai Van Branch, in the 2021-2025 period, the two sides committed to strengthening cooperation, supporting the implementation of key contents such as: the BIDV sponsors a valuable financial package worth 6.25 billion VND to grant scholarships for students, develop facilities, organize useful programs and activities for students and the community; meanwhile the UD creates conditions for the BIDV to access, introduce banking products and services to the UD’s staff and students, etc.
