The University of Danang signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Regina, Canada

On September 20, The University of Danang (UD) held a virtual meeting of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Signing Ceremony with the University of Regina (UR), Saskatchewan province, Canada.

Attending the event were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Quang Son  - Vice President of UD; Dr. Jeff Keshen -UR Chancellor; Mr. Haroon Chaudhry - UR Vice Rector; Representatives of leaders of relevant departments of the two universities.

Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Quang Son – Vice President of UD expressed joy and highly appreciated the significance of the signing of the MOU, opening up new opportunities to strengthen cooperation, aiming for sustainable development.

Introducing the overview and highlights of UD as a national key regional university including 06 member universities and affiliated units, UD Vice President Le Quang Son emphasized, UD's development strategy aims to truly become one of the three leading training, scientific research and international cooperation centers in Vietnam with its high prestige and position in the region and the world.

UD always values and constantly cultivates international cooperative relationships with prestigious universities, including Canadian universities, and now expands and develops cooperation with UR.

Expressing their pleasure in signing the MOU with UD, the UR leadership representative said that the signing of the MOU by the two universities aims to promote their strengths, contribute to implementing each party's mission and improve the quality of training and scientific research, serving for the benefit of the community.

UR is a large public university in the Saskatchewan province, located in Regina city. The university is among the top universities in Canada (according to Macleans Rankings 2019, Research Infosource 2020) with more than 2,500 international students from 60 countries and territories, including Vietnam, said UR Chancellor Jeff Keshen.

According to the signed MOU, in the coming time, UD and UR will promote cooperation on key contents including: Exchange of lecturers in academia and research; Exchange students in internship, cultural and language activities; Exchange of documents, publications, etc.
