The University of Danang (UD) has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Far Eastern Federal University, Russian Federation (FEFU). The signing ceremony was held online with the co-chair of Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Quang Son-Vice President of UD, Dr. Victoria V. Panova-Vice President of FEFU.

The meeting was an honor to welcome Mr. Plam Andrei Yurievich - Consul General of the Russian Federation in Da Nang city, Dr. Evgeny Vlasov – Deputy Vice President of International Relations (FEFU), Dr. Evgeny Pustovoit - Director of the Institute of Oriental Studies (FEFU), Dr. Elena Gafforova – Director, School of Economics and Management (FEFU), and leading representatives of relevant departments of UD (Science, Technology and Environment, International Cooperation, Student Affairs).

Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Quang Son-Vice President of UD acknowledged and appreciated the significance of the cooperation agreement between the two universities, and expressed his joy and belief that the cooperation relationship between UD and FEFU will be continuously promoted in the coming time, bringing many opportunities and mutual benefits to both sides.

According to the recently signed MOU, the following priorities of cooperation shall be promoted: exchange of academics, staff, lecturers, and students, in which focuses will be given to undergraduate and postgraduate joint training programs, internship, and exchange of experts; organizing scientific conferences and seminars; participation in international and co-research projects; sharing scientific publications and learning resources…

As a prestigious and largest university in the Far East region – founded in 1899, the representative of FEFU affirmed that it attaches great importance to the strategy of promoting cooperation in Eu-Asia higher education, in which UD is a reliable and reputable partner, sharing the same commonality as a multi-disciplinary university for the two sides to promote cooperation in the fields of natural sciences-engineering, biomedicine ( logistics, computer science, biotechnology, ...); social sciences and humanities (language, culture, education, sports...). The two sides agreed on developing high-quality, international joint training programs (taught in English).
