On May 16, at the Commendation Ceremony for organizations and individuals with outstanding achievements in science and technology activities and innovation startups in Da Nang city in 2024, many scientists, lecturers of the University of Danang (UD) were awarded by the City People's Committee.

This is an annual activity, meaningful to celebrate "Vietnam Science and Technology Day" (May 18), thereby recognizing and promoting Da Nang's intellectual team, including scientists and lecturers of UD.

At the ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Tan Hung from UD - Advanced Institute of Science and Technology was awarded a Certificate of Merit with a bonus (18 million VND) for having an invention that was granted a protection certificate (United States patent).

Dr. Bui Xuan Dong, MSc. Vo Cong Tuan, MSc. Nguyen Hoang Minh, UD - University of Science and Technology were awarded a Certificate of Merit with a bonus (12.6 million VND) for having a solution that was granted a patent (Patent No. 3160).

24 authors/ author groups of UD with 30 articles (out of a total of 39 authors/ author groups in the whole city, accounting for more than 61%) were awarded for having scientific articles published in reputable scientific journals.

Among them, UD - University of Science and Technology has 13 authors; UD - University of Economics has 07 authors; UD - University of Science and Education has 01 author; UD - The University of Technology and Education has 01 author, and the UD Agency has 02 authors.
