On March 3, 2023, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Son- Vice President of the University of Danang (UD) chaired the meeting with the delegation of Óbuda University (OU), Hungary led by Prof. Kovács Levente-OU’s Rector. Also attending the meeting were Prof. Felde Imre – OU’s Vice Rector and leaders of UD’s relevant departments (International Cooperation Department; Science, Technology and Environment Department, VNUK Institute for Research and Executive Education; Advanced Institute for Science and Technology and Software Development Center).

At the meeting, Vice President Le Quang Son briefly introduced the overview and outstanding features of UD. According to Vice President Le Quang Son, UD always attaches great importance to the strategy of international cooperation, actively integrating with the higher education internalization process. UD has been implementing many projects, signing MOU/MOA with prestigious universities in the world, in which Óbuda University is an important partner in developing the teaching and training staff and student mobility programs under the framework of Erasmus+ Project.

At the meeting, Rector Kovács Levent expressed his pleasure when visiting the friendly and hospitable Vietnam, especially the honor to meet and work with UD’s leaders, officials and lecturers. Rector Kovács Levent also expressed his desire to establish and develop joint training programs in the fields such as: Business administration, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning with MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) …

 It is known that OU is the highest ranked technical university in Hungary with a lot of facilities, laboratories, centers. Currently, OU is a member of many prestigious international organizations, actively participating in cooperation programs and agreements which are similar to UD.

At the meeting, representatives of two sides discussed and proposed ideas, needs and cooperation opportunities such as: Strengthening the exchange of experts, lecturers and students (organizing Research Hub, Research Link, Bootcamp); Coordinating in implementing learning methods, active research, 4.0 technology application (Machine Learning, Deep Learning, short-term training on the basis of MOOCs); Promoting projects to encourage and support women “Women in STEAM”, Community engagement projects…

In a sincere atmosphere, leaders of the two universities highly acknowledged ideas, orientations and proposals, especially creating favorable conditions for UD’s member universities and affiliated units to join in to promote potentials and advantages, towards the sustainable development and useful contributions to the community.

At the end of the meeting, leaders of two sides assigned senior representatives of relevant units to continue promoting and concretizing orientations and cooperation opportunities in developing expert mobility programs, joint research, international scientific publication, especially project funded by the Hungarian Government and Vietnamese Government.
