On the evening of August 23, the University of Danang – University of Economics (UD-DUE) held the final round of the "Startup Runway-2023" with the theme "Sustainable Agriculture: From tradition to innovation”.

This is the 7^th season of the innovative startup "playground" initiated and presided over by UD-DUE, increasingly expanding its scale, scope, and quality with regional and national stature; The contest inspired new students to apply 4.0 technology to nurture young entrepreneurial dreams.

According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Thi Thuy Anh - Interim Rector of UD-DUE, with a tradition of nearly 50 years of training high-quality human resources, UD-DUE has been perfecting and creating an advanced academic environment to nurture and promote discoveries and talents.

Startup Runway-2023 has truly affirmed a prestigious branding, molding, and spreading the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurial aspirations among students; attracting and receiving the response of a large number of students in the Central area and Western Highland as well as the whole country.

“This contest will motivate, support, and accompany students to inspire, explore, and overcome their own limits; constantly cherishing and breaking through with more creative and more practical business ideas; laying solid foundation for future success on the journey of choosing to start up in agriculture with  sustainable value chain management models combined with innovation; diversifying channel models, distribution and marketing methods,” said senior representative of UD-DUE.

Introduced and protected startup projects

After more than 08 months with 04 rounds of competition, dozens of training sessions, and workshops with face-to-face and virtual forms, 05 excellent and typical teams were selected from more than 80 startup projects in the final round.

After exciting rounds with enthusiastic cheers from the audience, the Organizing Committee awarded the First Prize with a bonus of 20 million VND and scholarships for a technical training course for QuanTech team. The second prize with a bonus of 15 million VND and scholarships for a technical training course was awarded to Xdinary Team.

Gave Third Prize to Dlato team

with the "Nong Phuc" Project

The Third Prize with a bonus of 10 million VND and scholarships for a technical training course was awarded to the Dlato team with the "Nong Phuc" Project, a new model providing land leasing services integrated with "smart" vegetable growing.

Groups C2Pig and REEco received Consolation Prizes with a bonus of 2 million VND/prize and scholarships for a technical training course. In addition, there were other prizes such as: Communication video, Outstanding member in charge of general content/production department/sales and marketing department/finance department, 1 million VND/ each prize.

The success of Startup Runway-2023  not only continues to shine intelligence and bravery, giving wings to young startup aspirations of students to fly high and far in the future; contributing ideas, projects, and useful, feasible, valuable, and meaningful products to serve the community, but also firmly affirm the prestige and leading academic branding of UD-DUE in higher education system of the whole country.
