On December 12-13, 2024, students from member universities of the University of Danang (UD) participated and achieved high results with many awards at the contests: The 33^rd Vietnam Student Olympiad in Informatics (OLP-2024) and the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) Asia Hanoi 2024.

Student Le Ngoc Bao Anh, UD-University of Science and Technology,

won the OLP-2024 Bronze Super Cup

At the OLP-2024 Contest, the largest academic and creative IT contest for students nationwide, organized annually by the Vietnam Association of Information Technology, the Vietnamese Student Association and the Ministry of Education and Training, students of UD have excellently won many high prizes:

Student Le Ngoc Bao Anh (UD - University of Science and Technology) excellently won the Bronze Super Cup;

The students Nguyen Duc Nha, Luu Duy Quang, Duong Tan Khoi of UD - University of Science and Technology (UD-DUT) and Le Tang Phu Quy, Nguyen Tran Huy Vu of UD – Vietnam - Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (UD-VKU) won the third prizes of the individual Super Cup.

In the Information Technology field, the students namely Nguyen Minh Nhat, Dang Hoai Duc (UD-DUT) won 02 individual Second Prizes; The students Le Huynh Duc (UD-DUT), Nguyen Hoang Minh Nguyen (UD-VKU) won 02 individual Third Prizes; The students Nguyen Van Phung, Vo Thanh Nam (UD-VKU) won 02 individual Consolation Prizes.

Students of UD – DUT won 02 Second Prizes in the IT field of OLP-2024

The UD-VKU student team, including Le Kim Hoang Trung, Nguyen Hoan Thien and Ho Sy Bao Nhan won the Third Prize of the team award in the Open Source Software.

At ICPC Asia Hanoi - 2024, Team BKDN.Arcane of UD-DUT excellently won the Silver Medal and was able to attend the ICPC Asia Pacific Championship 2025 in March 2025 in Singapore.

Students from UD-DUT and UD-VKU won 02 Third prizes in the IT field of OLP-2024

According to the representative of the Organizing Committee, OLP-2024 and ICPC Asia Hanoi 2024 were contests to promote the IT learning movement, discover, encourage and nurture young talents. In 2024, OLP-2024 and ICPC Asia Hanoi 2024 attracted more than 700 students from 87 universities, colleges and institutes/ academies nationwide. In addition, there were 20 teams with 60 students from 08 universities in the region such as Singapore, Korea, Taiwan (China) and Thailand.
