Recently, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Son-Vice President of the University of Danang (UD) and representatives of Department of International Cooperation attended the online meeting to prepare for the 18^th General Assembly meeting of the Francophonie University Association (AUF).

The online session of AUF Asia-Pacific included 22 AUF’s member universities in Vietnam; 02 member universities of Laos, 05 member universities of Cambodia and 02 member universities of Korea under the chairmanship of Prof. Jean-Marc Lavest - Director of AUF Asia – Pacific region.

At the meeting, AUF leaders introduced the overview and key highlights of the development strategy for the period 2021-2025, thereby continuing to support and connect universities, scientific research and educational centers using French language as well as the Francophone member countries in the policy of reforming the education system.

Through AUF's Strategy, all members had more opportunities to access knowledge and initiatives, share experiences to implement effective solutions for the sustainable development, and open new prospects for students and young people of Francophone  communities to have more chances for study, research, career and international integration.

            At the Pre- Meeting, UD’s representatives discussed AUF's new strategy, vision and mission associated with common needs and interests of member countries, in which UD had always been an active and proactive member of AUF.

Senior leader of AUF Asia-Pacific region guided the registration process to attend the 18^th AUF General Assembly meeting, which would be held online on July 29^th to vote for Councils, Policy Advisory and Support Committees as well as amend the General Regulations to improve the professionalism and efficiency of AUF.

AUF periodically organizes the General Assembly every four years with the mission of constantly supporting cooperation and solidarity among universities of French-speaking countries, in order to contribute to the advancement of education and science in member countries.
