On the morning of October 5, 2024, at the Cultural House of Ngu Hanh Son District, with the support of the Department of Science and of Da Nang city and partner enterprises, the Student Association of the University of Danang (UD) organized the Final round of the 4^th Technology Entrepreneurship Competition among students of UD in 2024 (Innovative Technology Entrepreneurship the University of Danang, abbreviated as InTE UD-2024).

Attending the event were Ms. Le Thi Thuc - Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang city; Mr. Nguyen Huu Viet Cuong - Vice President of the Student Association of Da Nang city; Dr. Phan Minh Duc - Party Secretary, Chairman of the Council of UD; representatives of sponsors, partner enterprises and experts, entrepreneurs in the Jury; representatives of leaders of UD’s member universities, Office of Administrative Affairs and departments, centers of UD and students with topics, products, projects participating and cheering.

According to Dr. Do Le Hung Toan - Chairman of UD’s Student Association, InTE UD-2024 is a useful and creative playground for students held annually. Following the success of the previous three seasons, this year's competition is even more meaningful to celebrate the 30^th anniversary of the establishment and development of the University of Danang (1994-2024), the National Digital Transformation Day (October 10, 2024) and to celebrate the 30^th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of UD.

According to the representative of the Organizing Committee, InTE UD-2024 aims to promote and spread the spirit of entrepreneurship, provide in-depth knowledge about entrepreneurship, support creative and entrepreneurial activities among students, enhance cooperation opportunities, and connect universities and businesses to improve training quality, contribute to fostering and forming a young startup community and fostering the spirit of innovation in universities.

In addition to demonstrating their talents and ideas, the teams are further trained in knowledge about technology startups, thereby supporting the development and completion of products by prestigious lecturers and innovation startup experts.

Passing the rounds (Basic, Basic Training and Audience Voting; Semi-final round held on September 22), from 60 diverse and creative start-up projects/products, the InTE-2024 Final round, the Organizing Committee selected the 5 best teams to compete, demonstrating their mettle, capacity and spirit of start-up and innovation, through the Final round's competitions including: Presenting start-up ideas/ projects and Defending, debating to convince the Board of Judges.

First Prize awarded to student groups from UD - University of Science and Technology and UD - University of Economics

The First Prize went to a group of students from UD - University of Science and Technology (Tran Hoang Nha Uyen, Nguyen Thi Quynh Nhi, Pham Thi My Tam) and UD - University of Economics (Tran Hoang Nha Quynh) with the project "VSCO WRAP biodegradable food wrap from BC Kombucha containing antibacterial compounds from almond leaves combined with Anthocyanin from purple sweet potato peel", honored to receive the Champion Cup and Certificate of Merit along with a prize of 15 million VND.

Second Prize went to a group of students from UD - University of Science and Technology (Dao Hoai Linh, Ngo Hong Hoang, Le Vu Hoang Duc, Tran Ngoc Huy) with the Project "Bonne Santé - Artificial Intelligence Application System in Remote Medical Examination and Treatment" and were honored to receive a Certificate of Merit along with a bonus of 7 million VND.

Third Prize awarded to the group of students from UD - Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology

Third Prize went to a group of students from UD - Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (Nguyen Le Huu Duy, Nguyen Duc Bao, Truong The Quoc Dung, Ton That Ron, Hoang Van Hieu) with the Project "DaNang NLP Vietnamese Ecosystem for Children" who were honored to receive a Certificate of Merit along with a prize of 3 million VND.

02 Consolation Prizes went to the Projects "Application of Vietnamese pronunciation learning" by a group of students from UD - Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology, and the Project "Production of multi-purpose enzyme solution from plant waste" by a group of students from UD - University of Science and Education.

Awarding Impression, Vote, Potential Prizes to student groups

The Organizing Committee awarded the Impressive Prize to the Project “DUTSafeRoad - Computer vision application solution in detecting, warning and monitoring the size of damage on the road surface” by the group of students from UD - University of Science and Technology; awarded the Vote Prize to the Project “DaNa Green smart trash can” by the group of students from UD - University of Economics and awarded the Potential Prize to the Project “Mobility support system for the visually impaired through directions and obstacle warnings” by the group of students from UD - University of Science and Technology.

Spreading the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship to serve the community

The success of InTE UD-2024 was not only the result of the implementation of the Cooperation Agreement between UD and the Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang city (period of 2022-2025) but also a playground for technology startups among students of UD, opening up opportunities for students to demonstrate their talents, fostering the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship; connecting State,  University and Business in order to enrich the startup ecosystem in universities, integrating with the Industrial Revolution 4.0.
