VN-UK Institute for Research and Executive Education, The University of Danang: Promoting the affirmation of the role of female staff, lecturers and students in the fields of expertise, science and social activities

On the afternoon of March 11, 2021, the VN-UK Institute For Research and Executive Education-The University of Danang (UD) (hereinafter referred to as VNUK) has coordinated with the British Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City to organize successfully the Seminar, thereby promoting the affirmation of the role of female staff, lecturers and students in the fields of expertise, science and social activities.

Attending the program were British Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City - Ms. Emily Hamblin; Vice Director of Da Nang Department of Science and Technology - Dr. Vu Thi Bich Hau; Chief Strategy Officer of Enouvo Group - Mr. Ho Quang Dung and Dean of VNUK – Dr. Nguyen Thi ̣My Huong and representatives of some VNUK's partners, staff, lecturers and female students as well as UD’s member universities and affiliated units.

At the Seminar, delegates and speakers shared their own perspectives and experiences as female leaders and managers who had a lot of experience and actively contribution to professional activities, scientific research and social activities, thereby confirming the role of women in education, socio-economic development.

Representatives of British Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City - Ms. Emily Hamblin shared and expressed her wish to bring more opportunities to study, work and research, promote gender equality and further success for women, including female staff, lecturers and students of VNUK in particular and UD in general as the topic of the Seminar: "When women succeed, we all win".

The role of women today is increasingly evident, affirming achievements in many fields by promoting the good qualities such as diligence, creativity and willingness to take on important roles in academic science and community contributions.

An alumnus student of University of Foreign Language Studies-UD, Chief Strategy Officer of Enouvo Group - Mr. Ho Quang Dung shared with female students that they need to arouse their autonomy and creative thinking to confidently assert their capacity and ambition in study, future life and career.
