University of Economics - UD organizes a Seminar on the Application of Artificial Intelligence in Assessment, Testing and Digital Learning Materials

Recently (20/12/2024), at University of Economics – the University of Danang (UD), a seminar on the Application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the design of assessment methods, testing and exploitation of digital learning resources took place.

This is a joint activity between the UD’s University of Economics and RMIT University Vietnam to share information and exchange practical experiences to contribute to improving the capacity to apply 4.0 technology to serve the goal of improving training quality.

According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Ngoc Phi Anh - Vice Rector of University of Economics - UD, in the context of developing and applying AI in many fields, the proactive research of lecturers to appropriately apply technological utilities has a positive meaning, not only equipping them with skills in applying AI tools to digital learning materials but also supporting the construction and exploitation of interactive lecture products, infographics for teachers and students. This is also a trend that contributes to improving and diversifying the methods of applying digital technology in teaching and learning, promoting innovation, creating opportunities for learners and lecturers to participate in connecting and cooperating with the academic community.

At the seminar, delegates listened to specialized reports by speakers from RMIT University Vietnam and University of Economics - UD, focusing on knowledge, experience and skills in applying AI.

The speakers gave an overview of the role of AI in education; AI application strategies in designing testing methods from practical experience of RMIT University Vietnam, thereby not only improving methods but also encouraging critical thinking, active and effective learning.

The speakers also introduced accessible AI generative tools such as: Chat GPT, Notion AI; presented a demo of practical experience in designing tests using AI tools, analyzing output results and evaluating and adjusting questions.
