30/09/2025

On September 29, 2025, the University of Danang (UD) announced the results of the “UD's student Scientific Research Awards” for the 2024-2025 academic year, as follows:

1.   Field of Science, Engineering, and Natural Sciences, Medicine and Pharmacy: 07 awards (01 First Prize, 01 Second Prize, 02 Third Prizes, 03 Consolation Prizes).

2.  Field of Economics, Social Sciences, and Humanities: 06 awards (01 First Prize, 01 Second Prize, 02 Third Prizes, 02 Consolation Prizes).

The results were issued following the meeting and evaluation by the Awards Council on September 23, comprising reputable scientists and faculty members across relevant fields and disciplines.

This year’s awards saw 27 projects shortlisted for the final round across two groups: Science, Engineering, and Natural Sciences, Medicine and Pharmacy (15 projects) and Economics, Social Sciences, and Humanities (12 projects).

Authors and student research teams, selected from UD’s member universities and affiliated training units, presented their ideas, objectives, methodologies, and findings before the Councils.

The student teams received constructive feedback, guidance, and peer-review from esteemed scholars and faculty experts, helping them refine their projects, further develop outcomes, and move toward practical applications.

According to Council members, the submissions for this year’s UD Student Scientific Research Awards were conducted rigorously and demonstrated quality, meeting standards of research integrity and honesty, with no violations of the Law on Science and Technology or intellectual property regulations.

Several projects were rated Outstanding at the institutional level, achieved publications in reputable journals, and delivered feasible results with strong potential for further development and application.

The “UD Student Scientific Research Awards” is a prestigious annual program organized by UD to recognize outstanding student research projects during the academic year and to select top entries for higher-level competitions and awards.

The Awards also help identify core talent that can catalyze and spread the student research movement across member universities and affiliated units, nurturing and incubating the next generation of young, gifted scientists.

Beyond recognition, the Awards provide an academic platform that encourages more students to engage actively in research—fostering capability, innovative thinking, self-directed learning, independent inquiry, and teamwork; instilling an entrepreneurial spirit; and translating knowledge and skills into solutions for pressing real-world challenges that serve the community.
