14/12/2025
On 12 December 2025, Vietnam–UK Institute for Research and Executive Education (VNUK), the University of Danang (UD), hosted the 2025 Global Culture Festival under the theme “Learning by Doing”. The event aimed to foster a dynamic educational environment that closely links learning with real-world experience, while promoting multicultural understanding and exchange among students.

According to Dr. Nguyen Hiep, Director of VNUK, this is an annual signature activity that originated from the Global Culture module and has received enthusiastic participation from a large number of students, lecturers, experts, partners and businesses. The festival has gradually shaped one of VNUK’s distinctive identities in connecting academic training with practical application.
The event also offered an opportunity for VNUK students to cultivate and showcase their knowledge, engage in academic exchange, and participate in cultural interaction within a vibrant, internationally integrated space that highlights global civilizations and respects cultural diversity.

The program featured a wide range of activities, including artistic performances, folk cultural showcases, talk shows on the cultures of different countries, and presentations on cultural characteristics and cuisines. These activities focused on six countries with distinctive cultural traits that students had studied and were then able to experience and explore in practice.
According to VNUK student representatives, a key highlight of the festival was the high level of student autonomy: from ideation and content development to event operations, all activities were designed and implemented by students, with dedicated guidance and inspirational support from VNUK faculty members.

With its diverse booths attracting more than 300 pupils and students from across the city, the Festival truly served as an effective learning model, helping young people become more confident, dynamic and creative in communication and exchange. The event contributed to nurturing their integration capacity and supporting their journey towards becoming global citizens.
