UD- UFLS signs partnership with Hands Holdings Group and Coop Sapporo, Japan

On March 6, 2026, The University of Da Nang - University of Foreign Language Studies (UD- UFLS) in coordination with its partners, held a ceremony to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Hands Holdings Group and the Coop Sapporo Consumers' Co-operative Union, Japan.

Speaking at the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Long, Rector of the University, highlighted the significance of this milestone. He noted that it reflects the university's strategy to strengthen ties with major corporations and enterprises, thereby enhancing the quality of training, scientific research, and international cooperation to meet the demands of the modern era.

This partnership is designed not only to leverage each party’s potential and resources effectively but also to provide students with the opportunity to cultivate: Professional skills and a proactive mindset;  Integration capabilities within real-world business and production environments;  The necessary preparation to become global citizens.

According to Mr. Tokumura Aritoshi, General Director of Hands Holdings Group, there is currently a massive demand for high-quality human resources in the international labor market. Notably, nearly 20% of the group's current workforce is trained and supplied by Vietnamese universities.

Highly valuing the prestige and academic reputation of UD-UFLS, as well as the progressive mindset and eagerness to learn shown by Vietnamese students and employees, the leadership expressed their vision for this new partnership. They aim to collaborate closely in training and human resource development to meet investment demands and contribute to the economic growth of both Vietnam and Japan.

Under the terms of the signed MOU and MOA, the University and the corporate partners will coordinate to support students through internships, enabling them to develop professional competencies, foreign language proficiency, and cultural integration. These practical experiences are designed to enhance students' employability and provide direct pathways to working for Japanese enterprises.

Furthermore, the parties have agreed to jointly organize: Academic workshops and seminars;  Language and cultural exchange programs;  Initiatives to strengthen the educational bridge between Vietnam and Japan.
