On May 19, 2026, a delegation from The University of Danang - University of Science and Education (UD-UED) paid a working visit to Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University in Thailand, where the two institutions signed a cooperation agreement aimed at expanding academic collaboration.

Dr. Phan Duc Tuan, Vice Rector of UD-UED, stated that the university places a strong emphasis on international cooperation with higher education institutions, including universities in Thailand, which share close regional, cultural, and academic ties within the ASEAN community.

The two universities have fostered cooperation through faculty and student exchanges. Most recently, 41 students from UD-UED participated in academic exchange activities, as well as language and cultural programmes, at Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University.

Representatives of Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University noted that students from the Thai institution also visited UD-UED in April for experiential learning and academic exchanges in fundamental sciences, agriculture, and environmental studies.

Both sides agreed that the partnership aligns with the growing trend of integration and internationalisation in higher education across the region. The cooperation is expected to provide students with more opportunities to broaden their academic perspectives, strengthen intercultural understanding, and develop as global citizens.

Leaders of the two universities expressed confidence that the newly signed agreement will create further opportunities for effective collaboration in training, scientific research, and faculty and student exchanges.
