UD-UED held a ceremony to celebrate 50 years of connection and development, received the Second Class Labor Medal

On the morning of November 15, the University of Science and Education (UED) - the University of Danang(UD) held a ceremony to celebrate 50 years of connection and development, and received the Second Class Labor Medal. 

UD-UED currently has more than 350 staff, of which 67% of lecturers have doctoral degrees (double the national average); nearly 15,000 students (about 10,000 full-time university students, nearly 2,000 postgraduate students, nearly 3,000 work-study students).

UD-UED has 34 undergraduate training programs and 35 postgraduate training programs, of which 31 programs have met national and international quality accreditation standards.

UD-UED has the largest international student training scale in the Central region, in which teaching Vietnamese language and culture is a prominent strength with nearly 400 international students from more than 25 countries around the world studying.

Speaking at the ceremony, Permanent Deputy Minister of Education and Training Pham Ngoc Thuong highly appreciated the university's outstanding achievements after 50 years of construction and development.

The scale and quality are constantly expanding, gradually affirming its position as the leading center for teacher training and basic science in the Central Highlands region.

The Permanent Deputy Minister of Education and Training suggested that in the coming time, UD-UED should continue to focus on developing programs, projects, and plans to effectively implement the Party's Resolutions on education and training, innovation, science and technology; and attach importance to the work of discovering, planning, training, and improving the quality of staff, managers, lecturers, and scientists;

Continue to update training programs in an open direction, identifying teacher training as the focus and core; attach importance to student work, taking learners as the center and subject;

Strengthening modern facilities, equipment and teaching aids; continuing to promote the pioneering role in preserving and spreading the nation's cultural values, enhancing international cooperation and promoting international integration in the new situation.


 

On this occasion, UD-UED was honored to receive the Second Class Labor Medal from the President; the Department of Student Management and Library was awarded the Third Class Labor Medal; and the People's Committee of Da Nang City awarded the Emulation Flag to the university. Associate Professor, Dr. Vo Van Minh, Rector of UD-UED received a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister.
