UD-SMP hosts the International Scientific Conference Comprehensive Orthodontic Treatment Planning in the Digital Era

On March 23–24, 2026, The University of Danang - School of Medicine and Pharmacy (UD-SMP), in collaboration with Singapodent (Singapore Dental Equipment and Material Joint Stock Company), organized an International Scientific Conference themed: “Comprehensive Orthodontic Treatment Planning in the Digital Era: From Design and Treatment Strategy to Long-term Retention".

Dr. Le Viet Nho, Rector of the School, emphasized the vital role of digital transformation in modern orthodontics, particularly in enhancing precision in diagnosis, treatment planning, and monitoring. The conference was organized to provide professional updates while creating an academic forum for experts and practitioners to exchange knowledge, share experiences, and expand cooperation.

Delegates attended two keynote presentations:
(1) Orthodontic Treatment Strategies and Clinical Evidence-Based Practice (Prof. Ki Beom Kim - Chair of the Department of Orthodontics, Saint Louis University, USA);
(2) Optimizing Orthodontic Treatment: Identifying and Avoiding Errors in Clinical Practice (Mr. Nicolas Salesse - Senior Lecturer, International Academy of Dentistry and Digital Innovation).

The conference delivered significant professional value, enhancing the clinical competence of practitioners in orthodontics. It also reaffirmed the role of UD-SMP in fostering international cooperation and advancing medical training and scientific research.

Previously, from March 20–22, 2026, at the Ariyana Convention Centre Danang, UD-SMP in collaboration with the Vietnam Orthodontic Association (VOA), hosted the International Scientific Conference themed “Shaping the Future of Orthodontics”.
The event brought together a large number of experts, practitioners, and students in the field of Odonto-Stomatology from both Vietnam and abroad. This success further affirms the School’s role as an academic bridge, fostering professional cooperation and promoting international integration.
