On the morning of November 14, 2025, at Hanoi University of Science and Technology Sports Arena, the final match of the National University Student Basketball Championship (NUC-2025) was held in an exciting and highly competitive atmosphere, showcasing remarkable professional quality. Ultimately, the men’s team from the University of Danang (UD) emerged as the well-deserved champions, receiving the NUC-2025 Cup and a prize of 50 million VND from the organizing committee.

The UD women’s basketball team also delivered an outstanding performance, securing second place overall and earning a prize of 30 million VND. Notably, athlete Le Trung Khoa from the UD men’s team was honored as the Best Player of the National Finals.

Demonstrating superior physical fitness and tactical flexibility throughout the match, the UD men’s team achieved a convincing victory with a score of 74-71 against University of Transport and Communications. The entire team remains united, trains with dedication, and competes wholeheartedly for the national colors while upholding the spirit of fair play and integrity.

The strong support and close guidance from UD leadership, especially from the Faculty of Physical Education, as well as the dedication of coaches, staff, and every athlete, played a crucial role in this remarkable achievement.

The National University Student Basketball Championship 2025 is a prestigious annual sporting event organized by the Ministry of Education and Training, aimed at discovering, selecting, and nurturing young basketball talents nationwide, while promoting the development of basketball among students. This year’s finals brought together 14 top teams from the regional finals across the North, Central, and South.

The outstanding accomplishments of both the men’s and women’s basketball teams from UD at NUC-2025 not only bring honor, pride, and joy to each team member, the Faculty of Physical Education, and the entire university, but also convincingly affirm the tradition, quality of training, and competitive spirit of UD’s student basketball  program. These teams truly stand out as exemplary “nuclei” in student basketball in the Central region and across the country.
