UD-DUT signs MoU with Hitachi Digital Services Vietnam

On May 15, 2026, the University of Danang - University of Science and Technology (UD-DUT) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hitachi Digital Services Vietnam, marking a new step in university–industry collaboration in digital technology, artificial intelligence, and high-quality workforce development.
The signing ceremony took place at UD-DUT, bringing together representatives from the university and senior executives from Hitachi Digital Services Vietnam.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Tien Dung, Vice Rector of UD-DUT, said the institution places a strong emphasis on expanding partnerships with leading enterprises in engineering and technology, particularly global technology brands such as Hitachi.
He noted that cooperation between universities and businesses plays an increasingly important role in improving education quality and preparing students for the demands of the digital economy, especially amid the rapid growth of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.

Hitachi Digital Services Vietnam, a member of Hitachi Group, operates in key technology areas including digital transformation, cloud computing, data analytics, the Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence (AI). The company provides technology solutions and services to global clients and contributes to Hitachi Group’s broader digital development strategy.
Representatives of Hitachi Digital Services Vietnam commended UD-DUT for its strong reputation in education and research. They expressed the company’s commitment to working with the university to create new opportunities for lecturers and students, while supporting innovation and the development of high-skilled technology talent.

Under the MoU, the two sides will cooperate in training programs aligned with industry needs, organize seminars and professional workshops, and promote research, as well as the application and transfer of technology in information technology and artificial intelligence.
The agreement also aims to expand internship opportunities, provide students with exposure to real-world working environments, and strengthen recruitment links to support the development of a high-quality workforce.
As part of the event, Hitachi Digital Services Vietnam awarded scholarships to five outstanding students of UD-DUT, recognizing their academic achievements and encouraging them in their studies, research and future careers.
