UD-DUE organized the International Conference on Management, Business, Economics, Law and Technology (COMBELT - 2025)

On August 1, 2025,  The University of Danang - University of Economics (UD-DUE) hosted the International Conference on Management, Business, Economics, Law and Technology (COMBELT - 2025). This event holds significant meaning in fostering academic networking both domestically and internationally, aiming to celebrate the milestone of the University's 50th anniversary (1975 - 2025). 

This scientific event was initiated and hosted by UD-DUE. This year, it brought together numerous scientists, scholars, and experts from prestigious universities both domestically and internationally including: Babes Bolyai University (Romania); Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences (Germany); University of Liège (Belgium); Yuan Ze University, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (Taiwan, China); Kalasin University (Thailand); Southern Leyte State University (Philippines), National Economics University, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, and University of Economics - Hue University. 

According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Ngoc Phi Anh, Vice Rector of UD-UDE, the conference is an opportunity to expand cooperation and create solutions and policies that meet the needs and trends of sustainable development in a constantly changing world, where knowledge and advanced technology are core pillars.

This international academic forum saw the participation of over 200 scientists, experts, lecturers, entrepreneurs, and managers from various organizations and associations, who contributed over 150 scientific papers and presentations.

At the Plenary Session of COMBELT - 2025, delegates heard and discussed the scientific presentations of two keynote speakers:

1. "International Cooperation in Higher Education for Sustainable Development" by Prof. Ralf Schellhase from Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences.

2. "Comparing Public Administration Practices and Digital Transformation in Local Governance"by Prof. Nicolae Urs from Babeș-Bolyai University.

The conference featured 25 parallel discussion sessions on topics of scientific and practical significance, including: Promoting applied research and innovation in in the fields of management, circular economy, and digital economy. The sessions also aimed to support businesses in effectively adapting to legal and technological changes in the context of globalization and digital transformation.

Inspiring entrepreneurship and fostering cooperation between research institutions, universities, and the business community to strengthen knowledge transfer and apply research findings to real-world practice.

The Organizing Committee presented the Best Paper Award to three groups of authors for their outstanding publications, including:

- Tran Thang Long with the scientific report “Digital assets in the international investment legal framework: Challenges and solutions for Vietnam.”

- Chau Thi Da Huong and Le Dien Tuan with the scientific report “From black-box to glass-box: Explainable deep learning for credit risk prediction.”

- Truong Thi Phuong Anh and Pham Ngoc Duy with the scientific report “Linking servant leadership to frugal innovation: The role of corporate social responsibility and perceived organizational support.”

A key highlight of the COMBELT - 2025 Conference was not only the strengthening of academic connections and the publication of new research findings in an ISBN-indexed Proceedings, but also the offering of numerous policy-oriented recommendations and solutions to contribute to the development of Vietnam's economic and business communities.

The conference was significant for its contributions to the fields of finance, digital marketing, the circular economy, technology management, and smart tourism. It reaffirmed the leading reputation of UD-DUE as a premier destination for major economic academic events.
