In celebration of the 1st Congress of the Da Nang City Party Committee for the 2025-2030 tenure, taking place from September 16-19, 2025, the University of Danang (UD) has been continuously strengthening its core role in education, scientific research, and knowledge and technology transfer - creating momentum to contribute to Da Nang’s development in line with the Politburo’s Conclusion No. 79-KL/TW.

Participated in the Advisory Council for the 
Construction of the International Financial Center

With strategic vision and methodical steps aligned with emerging needs and global trends, Da Nang City is actively working to realize its goal of building an International Financial Center. Leveraging its capacity and mission to train high-quality human resources, UD is playing a pivotal role, closely accompanying the city in implementing this breakthrough development driver.

Study at Singapore Financial Center
to apply experience to Vietnam

University of Economics (DUE) – UD has dispatched experts and scholars to participate in drafting proposals, with a focus on the Human Resources Development Project; studying and adapting lessons from regional financial hubs such as Singapore; and organizing professional training courses for civil servants from relevant departments and sectors.

VKU Fintech Hub - a comfortable
 and creative academic space

Member universities of UD such as DUE and Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU) have proactively pioneered new academic programs aligned with the city’s emerging growth drivers, including: Financial Technology (Fintech), International Business, Accounting, Auditing, Business Administration, Finance and Banking.

Admission quality for these disciplines in recent years has consistently ranked among the highest. This not only fulfills the UD’s overarching goal of continuously enhancing training quality and research capacity but also reflects student interest and appropriate career orientation in response to socio-economic development needs.

Training human resources to serve 
the International Finance Center

Member institutions have actively partnered with businesses to deploy and utilize digital innovation spaces such as the DUE Digital Hub at UD - DUE offering students experiential modules from personal financial management to applications in digital banking and Fintech and the VKU Fintech Hub at UD - VKU, which integrates knowledge and technologies (Blockchain, AI, Machine Learning) with Fintech to shape an innovation ecosystem for students.

A notable highlight is the emphasis on launching full English-language degree programs. These not only enhance students’ English proficiency but also create opportunities for young human resources to become global citizens capable of integrating into national, regional, and international labor markets.

socio-economic center of the region and the country

These efforts underscore the University of Danang’s active contribution to implementing Plan No. 01/KH-UBND dated July 1, 2025 of the Da Nang People’s Committee, which executes Resolution No. 29-NQ/TU of the Da Nang Party Committee on establishing Vietnam’s International Financial Center in Da Nang under National Assembly Resolution No. 222/2025/QH15 building a solid human capital foundation for the early formation and effective operation of the International Financial Center in Da Nang.
