The University of Danang’s students won the first prize in the 2024 VietFuture Awards

On December 3, 2024, within the framework of the Vietnam - Asia Smart City Conference in Hanoi, the Vietnam Software and Information Technology Services Association (VINASA) held the 2024 VietFuture Awards.

The group of students from University of Science and Technology - UD includes: Phung Huu Gia Hung; Phan Le Van Luyn; Nguyen Tran Van Vu; Truong Ngoc Binh; Nguyen Trung Tuan excellently won the First Prize with the topic "IoT device integrated with LoRaWAN to manage power quality in real time for factories". This is the awarded topic in the fields of Green Technology and Energy Saving.

According to the representative of the student group, the topic originated from the actual need to collect data remotely from low-voltage capacitor stations, serve the management and operation of power stations, promptly detect technical problems and apply from the student internship process at Chu Puh Power Company (Gia Lai province).

The group of students has creatively integrated the application of 4.0 technology integrating IoT with LoRaWAN wireless network suitable for places without 3G/4G signal to effectively monitor and manage the quality of electricity.

Along with that, the group of students from University of Science and Technology - UD includes: Nguyen Tran Duc Thinh; Vo Quoc Dat; Pham Duy Vu; Phan Thanh Khai; Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh also won 1 Second Prize with the topic "Movement support system for the visually impaired".

Both topics were guided and professionally consulted by Dr. Ngo Dinh Thanh (Faculty of Electronics Engineering, University of Science and Technology - UD). With this achievement, University of Science and Technology - UD was awarded the Third Prize for the entire team at VietFuture Awards 2024.

The group of students from the University of Technology and Education - UD includes: Dang Thanh Son, Tran Van Phuc and student from University of Economics - UD Nguyen Van Tai won 1 Second Prize with the topic "Active search lifebuoy", in the field of Smart Mobility.

Students of Vietnam - Korea University of Information Technology and Communications - UD won 1 Potential Award.

According to the representative of the organizing committee, VietFuture Awards 2024 attracted 180 nominations from 42 universities and colleges nationwide. The achievements of UD students at the national playground VietFuture Awards not only continue to affirm the great potential in students from the quality of training and scientific research of UD's member schools, but also spread and inspire innovation for student groups to develop their thinking and creativity, connect and learn from experts towards valuable products, start-ups, and community serving.
