On 11th October, 2024, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Son – Vice President of the University of Danang (UD), received Prof. Myung Hoon Sunwoo – President of IEEE Circuits and Systems Society (CASS), Professor of Electronics Engineering at Ajou University (South Korea); Prof. Hanho Lee – Vice President of IEEE CASS, Professor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Inha University (South Korea).

There was also the participation of the leader representatives from the UD’s Department of Science and International Cooperation, Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, VNUK Institute for Research and Executive Education, dean/vice dean of relevant faculties from University of Science and Technology, University of Technology and Education.

Overview of the meeting.

At the meeting, the UD’s leader introduced the general and outstanding features of the university as a regional key multidisciplinary university with 6 member universities, and other affiliated units.

The UD is currently implementing the Development Strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2045, with the goal of becoming one of the three prestigious training and research centers in the country.

The UD focuses on international cooperation, especially promoting academia – industry linkage in the fields of electricity, electronics and information technology. The UD will assign lecturers to connect and promote cooperation with Inha University and Ajou University in the mentioned fields.

The leader representatives of IEEE CASS exressed their joy when visiting the UD, wishing to promote cooperation in the fields of electricity, electronics, IT; organize seminars and conferences; establish IEEE CASS’s chapter at the UD to mobilize human resources of the entire university.

On the same day, the delegation from IEEE CASS also paid a working visit to Vietnam – Korea University of Information and Communication Technology – a member university of the UD.
