The University of Danang - VNUK Institute for Research and Executive Education (UD-VNUK) inaugurated and put into operation the Practice Area for training specialized in International Tourism and Hospitality Management located on the 12^th floor of the VNUK building.

Attending the ceremony were representatives of VNUK's business partners who are reputable travel, tourism and hotel companies; representatives of a number of high schools in Da Nang city; Dr. Nguyen Thi My Huong – Dean of VNUK, representatives of leaders of UD-VNUK and affiliated units and staff, lecturers, students majoring in International Tourism and Hospitality Management of VNUK.

According to Dr. Nguyen Thi My Huong - Dean of VNUK, the purpose of VNUK's investment and putting into operation the Practice Area for training specialized in International Tourism and Hospitality Management came from the needs and goals of strengthening facilities for training, especially practical training for VNUK students, thereby contributing to improving training quality and meeting social needs.

Modern and comfortable indoor and outdoor Food and Beverage room

Specialized Practice Area includes spaces, function rooms and operations such as: Reception area (simulating hotel reception area, serving practice modules of Reception and Lobby, Principles of Tourism and Hospitality, Hotel Operations); F&B room (Food and Beverage) which has an area of nearly 77m2 (including indoor and outdoor areas, serving practice modules of Culinary Management, Principles of Tourism and Hospitality, Customer Behavior and Experience combined with organization of activities and events);

The Hotel Room has an area of 37m2 (simulating a hotel room according to 5-star standards, serving the practical courses of Reception and Lobby, Hotel Operations); The Tourism Room has an area of 36m2 (simulating travel agents, tour operators, serving small-scale classes and seminars, practicing modules on Principles of Tourism and Hospitality, Tour Operator, English for Tourism and Hospitality); Classroom has an area of 70m2 used to organize classes to meet the size of about 40 students…

With the inauguration and putting the Practice Area into operation which was renovated, invested in upgrading and equipped with modern interior amenities, this created the best conditions for students majoring in International Tourism and Hospitality Management to practice, experience, thereby improving professional skills, applying learned knowledge in practice, simulating the professional working environment of hotels and restaurants according to international standards - VNUK representative said.
