From April 9^th to 23^rd, 2022, the University of Danang - Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (UD-VKU) successfully organized the 3^rd RoboCar Contest 2022 with the theme "Conquer the challenge".

This is a creative academic playground for students in the fields of Information Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, Electronics and Telecommunications of UD-VKU, expanding to UD’s member universities and other universities in Central areas, attracting more than 80 teams with more than 700 students.

Attending the final round were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Ngo Van Duong-UD’s Vice President; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Huynh Cong Phap – Rector of UD-VKU; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Thanh Binh-Chairman of UD-VKU’s Council; senior representatives of enterprises (FPT Software, BKAV Da Nang, NAPA Glopal; LG Da Nang ...) and UD-VKU’s lecturers, staff and students.

The final round attracted 08 excellent teams

At the final round, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Van Duong, UD’s Vice President, acknowledged and highly appreciated VKU's efforts to organize the contest, providing a creative and useful "playground" for students, linking theory and practice, training and application; creating more opportunities for students to demonstrate their ability and creative thinking, thereby developing their critical thinking and skills in applying digital technology.

Speaking at the opening session, Dr. Tran The Son-UD-VKU’s Vice President emphasized that it was the third time that UD-VKU organized the RoboCar Innovation Contest, one of typical events of UD-VKU’s students.

In the final round, many teams focused on improving and using flexible algorithm, scheduling the technology application navigation such as: CCS, Arduino, mobile programming for iOS and Android JavaIDEdroid, Anacode IDE, Mobile C, Pythonista..., thereby perfecting and improving RoboCar to reduce wind resistance and energy consumption, supercharge the engine to overcome obstacles in shortest time.

At the end, the first prize belonged to Nine Spcars team; the second prize was awarded to the Hiep Team; third prizes belonged to team Mindofla and Xeui team; Undefined, Chin-su, Flashing and Freedom teams won the fourth prizes. The Organizing Committee and sponsors (Danang FPT Software, Danang NAPA Global) awarded the winning teams with a total amount of 45 million VND.

Robocar-2022 attracted a large number of students,

spreading the spirit of innovation 4.0

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Huynh Cong Phap- UD-VKU’s Rector shared that the RoboCar Competition over the years had continuously improved in terms of quality and size scale of the participating teams, attracting more and more students. It was really an intelligent playground to encourage and spread the spirit of innovation, contributing to improve the training quality, contributing to the development of 4.0 human resources and incubating 4.0 technology talents in the future.
