On the morning of December 1, at the University of Danang - University of Technology and Education (UD-UTE), the Signing Ceremony of a cooperation agreement with the Francophone University Agency (AUF) took place to set up a Francophone Employability Center (CEF) at UD-UTE.

Attending the ceremony were Prof. Laurent Sermet – Regional Director for Asia-Pacific of AUF; Ms. Nguyen Thuy Huyen - In charge of AUF's projects in the Asia-Pacific region; Ms. Le Thi Thu Hanh - Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Da Nang City; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Thanh Bac – Vice President of UD; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Phan Cao Tho - Rector of UD-UTE and Vice Rectors: Assoc.Prof.Dr. Vo Trung Hung, Dr. Hoang Dung.

Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Phan Cao Tho - Rector of UD-UTE welcomed and sincerely thanked the leaders of AUF, UD and relevant agencies, organizations and units for the meaningful event to UD-UTE as well as the cooperation, consulting and career guidance activities which contributed to improving the quality of training, effectively using high-quality human resources for the development of Central Highlands region and the whole country, including Da Nang city.

Rector Phan Cao Tho introduced the outstanding results in international cooperation of UD-UTE in recent years, actively contributing to the process of internationalization and integration with the world higher education, thereby developing team potential, facilities, improving the quality of training and scientific research, exchanging lecturers and students, especially in international projects of which UD-UTE has always been an active and core member (such as V2WORK, MONTUS, EMVITET, MESFIA projects within the framework of ERAMUS+ Program with European partners; PHER project with US partners, FOAD Project for implement open source and remote learning platform with digital tools and  design funded by AUF…

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Phan Cao Tho highly appreciated the model and practical effectiveness brought by CEF centers and committed that UD-UTE would actively support in terms of personnel, facilities and coordination to ensure the necessary conditions and the legal corridor for CEF Da Nang Center to set up an Office at UD-UTE and soon come into operation. This will be a mark that contributes to further tightening the traditional, friendly and good cooperation relationship between AUF and UD-UTE as well as other member universities of UD in particular and UD in general.

In the presence of representative leaders of the parties, representatives of AUF leaders in Asia - Pacific region and UD-UTE have signed a cooperation agreement to set up a Francophone Employability Center (CEF at the UD-UTE. This result has opened up opportunities for cooperation development to access and connect with the business community, experts to share experiences, information oriented for job opportunities and innovative start-ups for students and young people; opened up a common space as a destination for the Francophone community, partners and students to enjoy digital utilities and services in the fields of education and career guidance.

Along with that, AUF would continue to accompany and support the projects of UD-UTE as well as UD's member universities in accordance with the needs, strategies and missions of the parties, the representative leader of AUF in the Asia-Pacific region shared.

This was the 3^rd CEF office in Vietnam (after 2 CEF offices in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City) established by AUF among 8 CEF centers in the Asia-Pacific region (in 7 countries: China, Mongolia, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand and Vanuatu). The main areas of effective operation at CEFs include: Counseling, career guidance, information and guidance, job seeking  support; Soft skills training; occupational Certificaione and start-ups.
