From May 18 to 19, at The University of Danang - University of  Science and Technology (UD-DUT), there was an on site visit  for 11 training programs according to the Accreditation Agency for Study Programs in Engineering, Informatics, Natural Sciences and Mathematics (ASIIN).

Attending the opening ceremony were Dr. Phan Minh Duc - Chairman of the Council of The University of Danang (UD); Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Huu Hieu - Rector of UD-DUT; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Dinh Lam - Chairman of the Council of UD-DUT; the international experts in the external evaluation delegation represent the leadership of the Board of Rectors of UD-DUT and and its affiliated departments, faculties and centers.

This is the first time that UD-DUT has conducted international accreditation of training programs according to ASIIN Standards of Germany - a leading country in the world in the fields of science, engineering and technology.

Among the accredited training programs, there were 07 undergraduate training programs including: Electrical Engineering; Information Technology; Information Technology (Japanese); Building Materials Engineering Technology; Construction Engineering of Waterworks; Natural Resources and Environmental Management, and Construction Economics.

Experts of External Evaluation Delegation worked objectively, fairly and scientifically

Besides the undergraduate training programs, UD-DUT’s 04 Master training programs have been accredited including: Electrical Engineering; Computer Science; Construction Engineering of Waterworks and Construction Management. This is really a highlight to improve the quality of postgraduate training of UD-DUT to reach the international level.

According to the representative of UD-DUT, the external evaluation activities were conducted objectively and scientifically according to a strict process from the assessment of records and evidence to interview sessions, surveys of facilities, lecture’s rooms, laboratory, practice room, etc.

Actual survey of laboratories

On the basis of external evaluation, experts gave useful recommendations to help UD-DUT and related faculties and departments continuously improve the quality of training, scientific research to ensure quality according to the international standards.

After 02 working days, the external evaluation ended with 23 official working sessions of 04 Clusters; 27 tours of facility survey at laboratories, practice rooms, libraries, Faculty/ Departments offices, etc.

Recommendations from external evaluation were the basis

for faculties, departments and UD-DUT to improve the quality of training programs

The external evaluation delegation interviewed six groups, including: 06 Deans, 06 Vice Deans; 06 Program Chairs, 35 SAR Team members; 56 officials and academic staff; 67 students; 69 industry partners of training programs and alumni.
