On September 8, 2023, the Center for Educational Quality Accreditation - Vietnam National University (VNU), Hanoi coordinated with the University of Danang-University of Foreign Languages (UD-UFLS) to organize the ceremony on announcing the Decision and awarding Certificates of reaching domestic quality standards for 09 undergraduate training programs including French Teacher Education; Chinese Teacher Education; Japanese language (High Quality); English language (High-Quality); English for specific purposes (High-quality); Russian Language, Korean Language (High-Quality); Chinese Language (High-Quality) and International Studies (High-Quality).

 According to Dr. Ta Thi Thu Hien - Director of the Center for Educational Quality Accreditation, VNU, Hanoi, this was the result of 02 rounds of external evaluation for 09 training programs of UD-UFLS conducted at the end of June 2023. The Quality Accreditation Council of the Center for Educational Quality Assessment – VNU, Hanoi issued a Decision to recognize the National Quality Standards for these 9 mentioned programs (according to Circular 04/2016/TT-BGDDT of the Ministry of Education and Training).

The results of the accreditation were the tireless efforts of UD-UFLS’s leadership, staff, lecturers, and learners, especially the offices, faculties, and subjects that were accredited, thereby contributing to affirm the prestige, academic reputation, and commitment of the UD-UFLS to learners, the community and relevant parties in ensuring and continuously improving the quality of training.

Speaking at the ceremony, UD-UFLS Vice Rector Nguyen Van Long emphasized that the school always attached special importance to ensure the quality of education and accreditation, considering the quality of education as the foundation of sustainable development.

Recently, UD-UFLS completed the accreditation process (cycle 2), which was recognized to meet the quality standards of educational institutions according to domestic standards and up to date, 17 undergraduate training programs met the national and international standards (AUN-QA). This would be the achievement and motivation for teachers and students to enter the new school year 2023-2024 towards sustainable success in the future.

The leader of UD-UFLS gave sincere thanks to the Center for Educational Quality Assessment – VNU, Hanoi, and the external assessment experts, as well as committed that in the upcoming time, UD-UFLS would promote research and receive recommendations from experts in directing and implementing improvement plans, overcoming identified limitations, promoting strengths to contribute to improving the effectiveness of implementing the quality assurance policy, meeting the requirements of stakeholders.
