The University of Danang - University of Economics (UD-DUE) co-organized the National Scientific Workshop "Science, Technology and Innovation for Sustainable Development Goals"

On the morning of August 15, 2024, at The University of Danang - University of Economics (UD-DUE), a National Scientific Workshop with the theme "Science, Technology and Innovation for Sustainable Development Goals" was taken place.

The workshop was organized by UD-DUE in collaboration with partners (University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, National Economics University, Vietnam Institute of Science, Technology and Innovation) within the framework of the KX07/21-30 Program (National Social Sciences and Humanities Program until 2030): Research on innovation in science, technology management and innovation in Vietnam.

According to Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Van Huy, Rector of UD-DUE, this was an academic event and an open forum for scientists to exchange, share and publish research results related to the topic of science and technology management and innovation for the goal of sustainable development, with high scientific and practical significance.

The workshop was an academic event coordinated by
leading prestigious universities/ research institutes in related fields
The highlight of the workshop was that for the first time, prestigious universities/ research institutes in the field related to the topic of the workshop jointly organized, starting a series of cooperation activities, exchange and joint research between universities.

Dr. Le Thi Minh Hang – UD-DUE reported at the Workshop
According to Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hieu, Vice President of the National Economics University, the opinions and results of the Workshop would be selected and synthesized by the Organizing Committee and sent to central agencies such as the National Assembly committees, the Central Theoretical Council, the Ministry of Science and Technology, etc. to contribute to the implementation of the socio-economic development strategy and the science and technology development strategy to 2030 with a vision to 2045.

Speakers reported at the Workshop
At the workshop, there were nearly 100 articles and research works, of which the Organizing Committee selected 76 scientific reports, expected to be published in the Conference Proceedings and sent to prestigious specialized scientific journals for publication, said the representative of the Organizing Committee.

Delegates spoke and discussed
The contents that scientists and lecturers were interested in, shared and discussed at the Workshop focused on the following groups of topics: (1) Management and development of science, technology and innovation for sustainable development goals; (2) Experience in management and development of science, technology and innovation for sustainable development goals of some countries in the world and lessons for Vietnam; (3) Multidimensional perspectives on management and development of science, technology and innovation in industries/ fields and in localities, organizations and enterprises.

The results of the Workshop were synthesized and sent to Central agencies,
contributing to the implementation of the socio-economic development strategy
and the science and technology development strategy to 2030 with a vision to 2045
The workshop had 04 keynote presentations of scientists and experts including: "Experience in developing digital ecosystems in some countries around the world and lessons for Vietnam" (Dr. Le Thi Minh Hang – UD-DUE); "Enhancing the role of universities in developing science, technology and innovation for sustainable development goals" (Assoc.Prof.Dr. Phan Thi Bich Nguyet - Director of the Institute of Innovation, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City); "Discussing innovation management policies in Vietnam" (Dr. Cao Thi Thu Anh - Vietnam Institute of Science, Technology and Innovation, Ministry of Science and Technology); "Some issues raised for state management of science, technology and innovation for sustainable development goals" (representative of Program KX07).
